Like many CSU students, Kadence is deeply committed to learning. She thrives in the classroom and is motivated by the belief that education opens doors—to careers, to stability, and to opportunity. Financial support allows her to focus on her studies rather than the stress of how to pay for them. Without scholarships, continuing her education would be far more difficult. With them, she can move forward with confidence and momentum.

Kadence’s motivation, however, extends beyond her own future.

When she was just 10 years old, her family took custody of her nephew, who is now her little brother. Today, he is seven years old—and he looks up to her in every sense of the word. Kadence is acutely aware that her actions matter, not only for herself but for the young person watching closely.

As she pursues her degree at CSU, she is modeling what is possible. Her commitment to education shows her brother that challenges can be overcome and that goals—even ambitious ones—are within reach. She understands that the path may not always be easy, but she also knows that support makes a difference.

Because of donor generosity, Kadence is doing more than earning a degree. She is building a future rooted in determination, responsibility, and example—one that will extend far beyond her own journey.
