What is the Faculty & Staff Campaign?

The Faculty & Staff Campaign is an annual fundraising effort that provides full-time and part-time faculty and staff the opportunity to directly impact the CSU community through charitable donations. Employees can choose to directly support their passions: students, academic research, college priorities, athletics, and so much more.

When is the 2021 Faculty & Staff Campaign?

The campaign runs from February 1st to February 16th.

Gifts made to any CSU fund during the fiscal year count toward participation for the current year’s campaign. Pledges and gifts through payroll deduction are counted in the year in which they are made.

Why are Faculty & Staff being asked to give to CSU?

While a state-assisted university, CSU receives just a small portion of its funds from the state. We rely on the support of individual donations to help offset the cost of tuition, provide scholarships and research support to our faculty and students and more.

As a staff or faculty member, you are a valued part of the CSU community, and when the University benefits, the community benefits. Many of our faculty and staff members are also alumni, parents of CSU students, members of the local community, or students themselves, all of whom stand to benefit alongside CSU.

Your gift will directly benefit students, faculty and programs. Philanthropy from our campus community also demonstrates an internal commitment that can send a powerful message to our external supporters

Does my gift really make a difference?

Gifts of any amount are vital and when combined  do great things at CSU. Our goal is to have 100% faculty and staff participation and we encourage gifts at any level. Strong internal support sends a message to the community that we are committed to the success of our students and the excellence of Cleveland State University.

How will my gift be recognized?

Consider joining one of CSU’s Recognition Societies that celebrate our most loyal donors and are recognized in the CSU Foundation Annual Report.

Dean’s Circle — An annual leadership gift of $1,000 or more
President Recognition Societies — Cumulative lifetime giving of $10,000 or more
C.L.E. Society – All donors, regardless of amount, who have given to the University for two+ consecutive years
Legacy Society – Donors who have made a planned giving commitment to CSU

I already donated this year. Will my gift count toward the 2021 Faculty & Staff campaign?

Yes! If you gave to Cleveland State anytime during this fiscal year, thank you. We acknowledge gifts between July 1-June 30 as part of our faculty and staff giving.
