To our Alumni and Friends:
Thank you for making fiscal year 2016 another outstanding year in which alumni, friends and the community continued their generous support for ENGAGE: The Campaign for Cleveland State University. With new gifts and pledges totaling $14 million in FY ’16, CSU’s first-ever campaign has achieved more than $87 million of its ambitious $100 million goal.
In addition, the CSU Foundation recorded its second-highest year-end total ever for funds under investment -- $72.7 million. While the return on investment was down slightly (-2.9 percent), the Foundation delivered a five-year annualized return of 5.8 percent and the long-term value of the endowment remains strong.
Private support for student scholarships, faculty research, academic programs and more is an investment in the future of Cleveland State University, our students and Northeast Ohio. We are truly appreciative. Please know that the CSU Foundation takes seriously its responsibility to steward the gifts that you and others entrust to us, and we are committed to carefully investing those gifts for the benefit of the University and its students.
