To Our Alumni and Friends:
As I prepare to retire in June 2018, I am confident that I am leaving Cleveland State University on solid financial ground. In fact, fiscal year 2017 was one of the best ever – for funds under investment, a growing endowment and our highly successful ENGAGE: The Campaign for Cleveland State University. Thanks to generous alumni and friends, ENGAGE surpassed its $100 million goal two years ahead of schedule, raising more than $114 million.
ENGAGE is focused on providing merit and need-based scholarships for students across all fields of study, as well as for student-athletes, while also expanding and strengthening workforce and career preparedness initiatives, such as co-ops and internships. ENGAGE is helping our students – who are the future of Northeast Ohio – to stay in school, graduate and use their knowledge and skills to succeed in their careers and in their lives.
I am so proud of all that we have achieved – together. And I will forever be grateful for the privilege of serving as president of this great institution. I know the best is yet to come. For the remainder of my term as president (and beyond!), I am committed to doing all I can to ensure the continuing success of the University, the CSU Foundation and our students.
