In the Fall of 2025, eight engineering students at Cleveland State University began pursuing their dreams, thanks to the newly established Robert P. Campanella Scholarship Endowment. CSU proudly celebrates this generous legacy gift and honors the lasting commitment of the late Robert P. (Bob) Campanella ’67.
Bob’s legacy gift reflects his lifelong connection to CSU and his remarkable professional journey. After graduation, Bob led a successful career as an engineer and later became an entrepreneur in investment and real estate. Through thoughtful estate planning, Bob designated CSU to receive proceeds from the sale of a commercial property—an extraordinary act of generosity that will empower future generations of engineering and construction management students.
The inaugural scholarship recipients represent diverse disciplines, from computer science to mechanical, chemical, and electrical engineering. Each student possesses unique goals and aspirations and all share deep gratitude for this life-changing opportunity. Our scholarship recipients share their words of gratitude below.
